This season there is a set of basketball that competes in the third national category that has a wide representation of the province. This is Starlabs Morón, which is located in the West group of the LEB Plata.
José Antonio Santaella He is the coach of this team for the second consecutive season. Last season he arrived on the bench in March, from Penarroya of the N1 National, to save him from relegation. Once that objective was achieved, this season he has continued leading the Moronense bench with the idea of moving it away from the bottom zone and closer to the top of the classification.
Santaella has trusted two people from Córdoba to also be part of the coaching staff, as he has Álvaro Cordón (assistant coach and physical trainer) and Carlos García (assistant coach and physiotherapist). There is also a Cordoban in the squad, Antonio Bioque from Carpe, a shooting guard who has arrived at the club from UCB of the EBA.
A promising start
Morón won its first three games, showing that it wants to stand up to all the rivals that put it in front of it. They currently occupy fifth place in the table with 5 wins in 9 games.
José Antonio Santaella declares that the objective of this team is to enter the playoffs for promotion to the LEB Oro and “look up rather than down, stay in a calm zone and win more games at home than we lose.”
Above all, at home games, Santaella wants to “connect with people and make them enjoy the team, the project and the new board of directors.”
