Outrage and shock in equal parts is being generated among citizens after a video has been re-disseminated in recent hours in which it is observed how a caregiver at a private daycare centerto slaps a minor in the face, one or two years old, who is crying alone in a fenced but outside area. The kindergarten The person in question is located in Elche and, apparently, the events occurred at the end of last October, although the video has now gone viral.
In the sequence, recorded at the time by a woman who was in the building opposite, starts with a shot of the outside of the private nursery school, which occupies the basement of a building and faces the street, meaning that it is not very difficult to observe what is happening. The video begins by focusing on this part and recording several cries that come from the patio of this daycare center where two little ones are left unattended.
The person who records the video He narrates that apparently one of the little ones has scratched another, while one of them is seen leaning on a wall. There is no one taking care of them in the outside area and, suddenly, a caretaker appears running, baby bends over who is next to the wall and, without hesitation, gives him a loud slap on the right cheek.

To the astonishment of the person recording the sequence, who is not seen by the caregiver, the latter grabs the minor she has hit, apparently a girl, and rudely puts her inside the nursery, while leaves the other baby alone who continues to cry insistently. The video, just over a minute long, has caused perplexity in Spanish society, especially among those from Elche who are aware of that daycare center.

The newspaper confirmed that the accused gave a statement about these events at the Elche Police Station and was released as it was not serious and she denied what happened. Days later, there was a meeting called by the daycare director in which she denied having attacked the girl, stating that she had only covered her mouth. Even so, some families, including those of the two little girls who appear in the video, have unsubscribed. Others, however, accepted the explanations and keep their children there.
In any case, there are open proceedings in the courts, according to police sources. The video, as well as a second complaint, have been provided to the court, which has already begun taking statements from both parties.
