AVE CÓRDOBA BARCELONA | Iryo will connect Córdoba with Barcelona on its high-speed trains starting December 10

Iryo, private operator of high speed participated by Trenitalia, Air Nostrum and Globalvia, will begin operating a new route transversal that will connect the cities of Barcelona and Seville, with stop at Cordovafrom the next December 10.

Stops and duration of the journey

With four frequencies a day –two outings and two returns– seven days a week, the route will have stops in Zaragoza, Madrid (20 minutes) and Cordova. Additionally, between June 15 and September 14, 2024, one of the frequencies will also stop in Tarragona.

The number of seats that Iryo will offer per year for this route will be 673,060 and It will thus connect Catalonia with Andalusia in about five hours and fifty minutes, as reported by the operator, which has already put tickets on sale on its website. If you leave from Córdoba and arrive in Barcelona, ​​and vice versa, the duration of the trip will be five hours.

This novelty represents, therefore, the connection of Córdoba with Zaragoza through Iryo, and the arrival of two more new frequencies with Madrid by sense.

Seats and frequencies

As noted above, there will be four daily frequencies, two per direction. If you leave from Córdoba, the times will be: 7.43 hoursarriving at 12:45 p.m., and 17.09, arriving at 22.10 hours. Specifically, the schedules originating in Barcelona will be at 9:50 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. arriving in Seville at 3:36 p.m. and 7:39 p.m., respectively.

For its part, originating in the Andalusian capital and destined for Barcelona, ​​departures will be at 06:54 and 16:20, with arrival at 12:45 and 22:10, respectively. For the return, the departure from Barcelona will be at 9:50 and 1:45 p.m., with arrival at 2:46 p.m. and 6:49 p.m. respectively.

Tickets can be purchased on the website and have a base price of 25 euros.
