Córdoba Swimming wins five medals in the European masters

The club swimmers Swimming Córdoba won five medals in the first edition of the European winter master’s swimmingheld in Madeira (Portugal).

Pedro Serrano (silver +35) and Rafael Sánchez (bronze +30) stood out in the 200 butterfly. Cristian Gómez finished third in the 3,000 open water +25. In addition, they added two more medals in the men’s relays (silver in 4×50 free and bronze in 4×50 styles) with Pedro Serrano, Cristian Gómez, Marco Castilla, José Carlos Sotillo and Rafael Sánchez. Elia María Cuenca completed the participation of the Cordoban club with a fourth place in the 3,000 open water +25 as the best position.

The Andalusian representation broke the total record for medals in a European master’s championship to accumulate 14, breaking the previous record that was established at 13 since 2018 in Slovenia. Andalusia added medals with swimmers from the Mediterráneo, Jaén Máster, Jerez Natación Máster, Inacua Málaga clubs and himself Swimming Córdoba.
