Hï Ibiza has received the award for Best Club in the World during the Golden Moon Awards Galawhich took place this Monday within the framework of the 9th Edition of the International Nightlife Congresswhich is celebrated alongside the 4th Edition of the National Congress of Nightlife at the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper hotel. Hï Ibiza, opened in 2017, thus wins this statuette again, for the fourth consecutive year, for “being the club with the best sound and lighting in the world and for having an unrivaled program featuring the best DJs in the world.” as they have explained from the International Nightlife Associationorganizers of the meeting. Omnia Las Vegas and Ushuaïa Ibiza have won second and third place, respectively, on the prestigious list of ‘The World’s 100 Best Clubs’ 2023. Bootshausin Germany, and Shôko Barcelonamake up the Top 5 from this list. The Top 10 of the List has been completed Green Valley from Brazil (6), Opium Barcelona (7), DC-10 of Ibiza (8), E11even from Miami (9) and Pacha Ibiza (10).

Club La Feriafrom Chile, has endorsed the award for Most Sustainable Club for “using 35 photovoltaic generation panels to supply all of its energy consumption and reduce the use of plastic by up to 90%”, while the Spanish project Audiotec, which has a double objective: to attenuate noise from open areas such as terraces and to absorb harmful particles from the atmosphere to create environments with acoustic comfort and a high level of air quality, has received the award for Best Innovative Project in Nightlife of 2023. The French producer and musician David Guetta has been recognized with the award for Best DJ of the yearMeanwhile he Barcelona City Council and the Generalitat of Catalonia have received the award for Best Collaborative Action in Security within the nightlife sector, for the joint action carried out on the seafront of Barceloneta, the busiest nightlife area in Europe.
The Bresh Party has received the award in the category of Best Event of 2023, while that of Best Festival has gone to Tomorrowland, which welcomes around 400,000 people every year. From the International Nightlife Association have highlighted the “innovative, avant-garde and creative” nature of both projects.
The award for Best Protection Action for Clients and Workers has fallen to the club Sutton Barcelonathanks to its “good practice in the application of the ‘No Callamos’ protocol”, of the Barcelona City Council, and for the implementation of the protocol ‘Ask For Angela’, promoted by the International Nightlife Association. The one of Best Business Group has been for TAO Groupfrom the United States, for offering “top-quality culinary and entertainment experiences, with innovation and creativity as central axes” and the Golden Moon Award to the Best New Artist It has been for the Dutch DJ Chelina Manuhutu“one of the most promising artists on the world music scene underground“.
With the aim of giving this edition “a more Barcelona touch”, as explained by the International Nightlife Association, the awards from this year’s Golden Moon Awards, designed by sculptor Jose Pinero, are inspired by the work of the painter and sculptor Joan Miró. “Just as Miró captured his own universe and the dictates of his imagination in his work, our Golden Moon Awards capture the innovative spirit and diversity of Barcelona’s nightlife,” he highlighted. With this great international awards gala and the celebration of the delivery of the Michelin Guide stars in Barcelona, Barcelona is positioned as the cradle of leisure and gastronomy in the world.
Awards for excellence in the nightlife sector
The list of ‘The World’s 100 Best Clubs’ 2023 has been selected from a total of 373 nominated locals, from 65 different countries. The popular vote on-line has represented 50% of the final vote, while the other 50% has been determined by a jury made up of sector experts who have evaluated the evolution of the venues during this year, based on criteria such as musical programming, security, acoustics and quality of its service, among other factors.
The 9th Edition of the International Nightlife Congress, the 4th Edition of the National Nightlife Congress and the Golden Moon Awards Gala have been organized by the International Nightlife Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Barcelona City Council, Generalitat de Catalunya, Consell Insular d’Eivissa, Asobares Colombia, Appleton University, Gremi de Restauració de Barcelona, Bye bye Plastic Foundation, Sant Josep de Sa Talaia City Council, Sant Antoni de Portmany City Council, the World Association of Chefs Societies and the City Council of La Nucía.
