‘The 47’about a bus driver who, in the 1970s, set out to prove that It was possible to get to the Torre Baró neighborhood by public transport.has the quality of being a movie very clear in its objectives. It does not hide anything, there is no trickdoes not pretend anything that is not clearly stated in its story, in its themes, in its adventures and, above all, in the values and ideas of its characters.
That clarity, as well as the transparency with which it conveys that The true story of Manuel Vital It was and is important for Auger and his team, is one of the strong points of the film. Another is The director’s bet (who writes the script with Alberto Marini) to opt for a cinema of denunciation which, without excluding anger, is protected in affection and good intentions to get his message across.
In times taken by cynicism and ragethere is something effective and, in some ways, exotic in that decision. ‘The 47’ It works in that clarity and that commitment to emotion without disguise, largely thanks to the complicity of some actors, led by Eduard Fernández, Clara Segura and Zoe Bonafontewho understand these codes and defend them with affection.
One does miss, though, one somewhat more elaborate description of the charactersespecially the supporting characters (although the actors know how to defend them), and a recreation of the less rigid and obvious era.
