Yolanda Díaz: “Sumar is not about winning the elections, Sumar is about winning the country”

The registered members of Sumar have supported this Saturday the list of Yolanda Díaz for the first direction of the organization. A total of 8,179 people participated in the vote that confirmed the second vice president as general coordinator of Sumar with 86.56% of the votes. “Whoever thinks at this moment that they can do it alone is wrong, whoever thinks that it is enough to settle for staying as we are is wrong,” defended the leader of Sumar in her first speech after being elected general coordinator. Díaz has picked up the baton and now has the mandate to launch the party, as well as the creation of a broad front with the rest of the left. The founding assembly held in Las Rozas, in Madrid, has been marked by low participation.
