There will not be Carnival from the street this Sunday in Cordova, due to the high risk of rain that is forecast for the city on this day. The State Meteorological Agency figures at 100 percent during the morning, and a little less after 6 p.m.
The Córdoba Carnival Association announced this morning the suspension of all scheduled festive events, given that the rainfall will prevent the enjoyment of party fans. This was indicated by the group on their social networks through an official statement.
In its note, the association states that “The parade over the Roman Bridge is suspended and the other events scheduled for tomorrow due to high risk of rain. We regret this news since it is something expected by all the people of Córdoba. “We hope that next weekend the weather will give us a little respite.”
The programing
It was planned that a total of 30 groups (choir, comparsas, chirigotas, quartets and murgas) they would carry out a parade over the Roman Bridge, from the Torre de la Calahorra to the Puerta del Puente, and once they had passed it, they would spread out and perform in different corners of the area around the Mosque.
Although this Sunday it will not be possible to enjoy the street Carnival due to inclement weather, on Saturday night the rain gave a respite and it was possible to enjoy the first day of the street festivals, with several events around the Plaza de las Tendillas that followed one another once Ángeles Mellado’s proclamation ended.
