Different autonomous communities are suffering this Thursday road closures due to tractor marches. The farmers’ protests have spread to different parts of Spain since early in the morning. At noon, some roads on the Valencian Communityboth in Castellon like in Valenciaas well as Andalusia and Castilla la Mancha, were the ones that accumulated the most traffic congestion due to the demonstrations of farm workers. Early in the morning, cities like Barcelona have also recorded significant delays due to tractor trailers.

The main agricultural organizations (Asaja, COAG and UPA) this Thursday gave the starting signal to the cascade of mobilizations that they have called this month of February to demand the improvement of working conditions in the primary sector. Informal protests over the situation in the countryside have captured the media spotlight this Tuesday and Wednesday, although the official calendar of mobilizations planned by the associations has begun this Thursday in four points: Ávila, Salamanca, Huesca and Ciudad Real.
