Two years after bmw took the leap to electrification with the CE 04now launch the CE 02the access model BMW Motorrad. A electric vehicle for mobility which, at the same time, is attractive for its peculiar style and design. And there is no doubt that one of its main characteristics is its two big wheelsvery similar to those of a touring bicycle, which ensure robustness and, without a doubt, great doses of fun.
It is evident that we are facing a minimalist, different design, with a flat body and a continuous seat. This circumstance allows the pilot to use two ways of placing his feet with some footpegs further forward and others more rearward. Of course, only if we travel alone since, if we are accompanied, the rear seats will be occupied by our partner.
The chassis is based on a Double-loop tubular steel frame with high trunk rigidity, and that is noticeable in the piloting. A hydraulically damped telescopic fork operates at the front, while the rear uses a single-sided swingarm and a directly mounted shock absorber.
The new BMW CE 02 mount two different engines. One of 4 kW which limits the maximum speed to forty-five kilometers per hour, with a weight of 119 kilograms. The other engine has 11kWand with a weight of 132 kilograms it offers us a range of ninety kilometers and a maximum speed of 95 km/h.
