The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, insisted today that “I said and say no to any type of pardon, because none of the conditions are met for any possible pardon.” He did so in the A Coruña town of Ferrol after the controversy over information that claims that the popular party had considered a pardon for Puigdemont conditional on him being held accountable before justice and on him renouncing the unilateral route. “With me, the independence movement cannot count on any type of pardon,” Feijóo reiterated, “we have no doubt, nor will we have any. If the independence movement wants amnesty, they already have Mr. Sánchez to give it to them.”
